Our faculty is celebrating a major success – three projects have received support through the MUNI Junior Star programme. This scheme is designed for exceptionally promising early-career researchers shortly after completing their Ph.D., helping them prepare competitive applications for prestigious individual grants such as GA ČR JUNIOR STAR, ERC, or other international funding schemes.
The call for proposals was open from 21 to 28 November 2025. Successful applicants may receive funding of up to CZK 2 million per year for amaximum of two years. On 16 December, the President of the Republic, Petr Pavel, presented appointment decrees to 69 newly appointed professors at the Great Hall of the Carolinum. Among them are three male scientists and one female scientist from our faculty. We warmly congratulate all those named.
Miriam Kánová, a student at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Faculty of Science, Masaryk University in Brno, won second place in the prestigious SAS Prize 2025 competition for her thesis focused on data standardization and statistical reporting in clinical studies.
