The ceremony was also attended by the new Minister of Education, Youth, and Sports, Robert Plaga, and one of the representatives of MU was our dean, Tomáš Kašparovský, who is also the chairman of the Council of Higher Education Institutions. The appointments were made on the basis of nominations submitted by the scientific and artistic councils of higher education institutions.
Based on a proposal from the Scientific Board of Masaryk University, ten professors were appointed, nine of whom are also actively affiliated with Masaryk University.
The highest academic rank of professor was awarded to individuals who met all the prescribed professional and qualification requirements. The appointment represents recognition of their long-term scholarly work, their significant contribution to the development of their respective disciplines, and their active role in the higher education environment.
The newly appointed professors thus join the leading figures of the academic sphere who contribute to the development of education, science, and research in the Czech Republic.
