After a 16-week maternity leave following the birth of my second child, I am eager to build on the strong momentum of my research and teaching in biological anthropology. As an Assistant Professor at Masaryk University, I study ancient populations of Western Asia, particularly from the Bronze Age, integrating fieldwork, laboratory analysis, and interdisciplinary collaboration. My recent work focuses on developing new biochemical methods for osteocalcin extraction from ancient skeletons, supported by the Cobb Professional Development Grant, and has led to several publications in leading journals.

Drawing on collaborations with institutions such as PACEA (France), UCLA (USA), ÖAI (Austria), and CEITEC MU (Czech Republic), I aim to expand this network and further strengthen my research group. The Career Restart Grant would provide the flexibility and support needed to sustain my scientific output, advance new projects, and balance the dual responsibilities of academic work and motherhood.
