Site Visit: the day HR got interesting
Summer in our HR team wasn’t about ice cream—it was about preparing for the Site Visit. How did we do when the evaluators came? And what does a day like that actually look like?
In September 2019, together with colleagues from several Czech institutions implementing the HRS4R, we attended the conference: Inequality vs inclusiveness in changing academic governance: policies, resistances, opportunities organized by Eument-net in Naples, at the University of Naples Federico II.
Various aspects and insights related to diversity, equal opportunities and inclusiveness in academic and research institutions were presented and discussed at the conference. Participants also shared their best practices applied at research institutions across Europe. Mentoring programmes offering a structured support and development paths to researchers in different stages of their research career were included as important parallel agenda. Last conference day we had an opportunity to influence the Eument.net program for the upcoming year as its Associate Member. We have gained valuable inspiration, new contacts and recommendations for the further implementation of the HR Strategy For Researchers and activities for early-stage researchers at the Faculty of Science MU.
